Director of student services promoted
The Lakeview Board of Education recently approved a promotion for central-office administrator Christine Brown.

Brown’s title has changed from director of student services to executive director of student services and her salary has been adjusted according to the district’s Administrative Salary Scale. Brown has assumed several new duties, including state grant submittal, and state reporting in the areas of school improvement and personal curriculum.

Brown’s promotion is part of the general central-office reorganization that has taken place after the retirement of William Putney, executive director of human resources. The Board of Education has opted not to replace Putney, so the personnel duties are now being handled by Tracy Van Peeren, assistant superintendent for curriculum and technology. In turn, some of Van Peeren’s duties have been shifted to Brown.

Patch correction: An earlier edition of this story did not include enrollment figures from Lake Shore Public Schools. Figures from the district have been added to this story.
