Princeton Elementary Gets Fit

Princeton is the only elementary school in St. Clair Shores to receive a Building Healthy Communities grant and has been active throughout the year with assemblies, programming and sports equipment.

Just before students at Princeton Elementary School went on Thanksgiving break, students received an upbeat, active and informative concert by the SwingSet Mommas.

The concert is part of an ongoing series of assemblies, activies and programming funded through a grant from the 2012-2013 Building Healthy Communities Program, a partnership between Blue Cross, Wayne State University and the Michigan Fitness Foundation.

"It is just amazing," said Principal Sherry Michalowicz, of how the school community has embraced the programing. "We were really lucky to get the grant."
