Lakeview Student Wins Soccer Logo Contest

Lakeview High School student Rebekkah Garbe won the St. Clair Shores Waterfront Invitational Soccer Tournament logo contest.

A design by Lakeview High School student Rebekkah Garbe was selected as the winning entry in the St. Clair Shores Waterfront Invitational Soccer Tournament logo contest.

The work was one of 35 entries from students from all three high schools for the annual tournament which draws teams from across the Midwest and Canada.  

Garbe won a $500 prize. South Lake High School student David Robinson had the second place entry and won $200. Katelyn Galant, from Lakeview, came in third place and won $200.

The 16th annual tournament will be held from Aug. 16-18, and is one of the largest in the state. More than $80,000 raised from the tournament has been donated to the St. Clair Shores Special Needs Program. 136 teams from the United States and Canada.
