Personnel director bids district farewell
At a recent meeting, the Lakeview Board of Education publicly thanked William Putney, the executive director of human resources, for his service over the last three years.
Putney, a retired superintendent of South Lake Schools, assumed the position of Lakeview’s personnel director in the fall of 2008. In his farewell speech, he thanked the board, administrators and everyone with whom he worked.

“It has been a fun ride, and the memories I’ll take will be forever,” Putney said.
“Thank you very much for considering us and spending your last three years with us,” Board President Daniel Dombrowski told Putney. “It’s been a great ride, and what you brought to the table was immeasurable.”
The human resource duties have now been assumed by Tracy Van Peeren, assistant superintendent for curriculum and technology.
