Lake Shore's Marcus Barnett Receives Scholar Athlete Award

Lake Shore High School student Marcus Barnett has received the Michigan High School Athletic Association's Scholar-Athlete Award. 

Barnett will receive a $1,000 college scholarship from Farm Bureau Insurance. He was one of 32 scholarship recipients with a 3.5 or higher grade point average who have lettered in at least one sport.  

Barnett received his scholarship at the 2013 MHSAA Boys Basketball Finals at the Jack Breslin Student Events Center in East Lansing.
