Lake Shore Receiver Scores First A.C.T. Award

Lake Shore senior Matt Romanowski received the Shorians' first Academics, Citizenship and Team (ACT) scholarship sponsored by Great Dane Heating & Air Conditioning.

Lake Shore senior football player Matt Romanowski is the first recipient of Shorians' Academics, Citizenship and Team award sponsored by Great Dane Heating & Air Conditioning in Clinton Township.

Romanowski, who holds a 3.85 grade point average and will be attending Greensboro College next year, was honored Tuesday and received the $500 check from Great Dane owner Josh Bigelow.

"The community has helped us so much, it is the least we could do give back to the community," said Bigelow, a Lake Shore parent himself. "For me to give back to the community, it just seemed like the right place to start."

This is not the first time Bigelow has supported Lake Shore. In 2010, he was one of the sponsors of the renovation of the athletic field scoreboard. He added that he plans on sponsoring the scholarship in the future.
