American Idol Concert Rocks Lakeview High
Casey James, who was one of the top three contestants on American Idol in 2010, performed a private concert at Lakeview High School for collecting one of the largest number of cell phones in a tri-county contest for the national charity Cell Phones Soldie
Students at Lakeview High School received a 30-minute, private concert Thursday from American Idol contestant Casey James for collecting 626 cell phones for Cell Phones Soldiers.
The students collected the phones in 2011 for the contest sponsored by GM Military Discount and 99.5 WYCD.
The collection drive was organized and run by the student-led community service organization Huskies with Heart. Students reached out to their fellow students, Lakeview staff, the community and the St. Clair Shores Senior Center.
