New year, time to get in shape!

Previously, my husband and I have talked about signing up to a local health club to get in shape...

Previously, my husband and I have talked about signing up to a local health club to get in shape, but, unfortunately for a long time, that's exactly what it was, just talk!

Finally, I am proud to say that we are members of Metro Family Fitness in Clinton Twp http://www.metrofamilyfitness.com/, woo hoo!!! Anyways, the reason we chose this particular place was because it was one of the closest to our home that offered a daycare service, which I would need, since I'm a stay at home mom and would be doing my workouts while my husband was at work.

My first day started out with ten minutes of cardio (which I thought I was going to pass out from), then learning some stretches with my trainer (whom I will see once a week for three weeks). My trainer took my measurements and asked me what I wanted to work on, and said that we could accomplish this all in four months, that's right, FOUR MONTHS! I'm very excited to get in shape this year, and to cut down on some of my bad habits (although they don't seem so bad to me, LOL)! Anyways, I just wanted to share a note of encouragement for all you moms (and dads) out there who want to work out but can't find a sitter!

P.S. Metro Family Fitness is a co-ed fitness center, but they have a room in the back where women can work out in privacy, which is where you'll probably see me at for the first 3 months until I get can my mojo back! Watch out now....TTYL
