Weekend Rain Delays I-94 Roadwork

Rain Sunday night delayed the completion of I-94 resurfacing project in Macomb County.

The Michigan Department of Transportation said Monday that the rain this weekend delayed delayed the final paving operations and the application of the pavement markings in the I-94 resurfacing project between Masonic Blvd and I-696.

The following restrictions will be in place this week as work nears completion:

  • Eastbound I-94: right lane closure from 11 Mile to Martin roads from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Tuesday.
  • Eastbound I-94: The left two lanes will be closed from 11 Mile Road to Masonic Blvd from 8 p.m. Tuesday until 5 a.m. Wednesday. During the same time, the left lane of the eastbound I-696 ramp to eastbound I-94 will be closed.
