St. Clair Shores Students Invited to Enter Inaugural Address Competition

High school students in the 9th congressional district have until Jan. 25 to submit a 2-3 minute video expressing their vision for the country.

High school students in Rep. Sander Levin's 9th congressional district, which includes St. Clair Shores, are invited to write their own inaugural address this month in honor of President Barack Obama's second inauguration.

The Student Inaugural Address Competition invites students to submit, via video, their own two-three minute inaugural address explaining their vision for the country's future.

The submissions will be judged by a panel of local residents, while the winner will be announced during the week of Jan. 28. President Barack Obama will be officially sworn in for a second term, and give his second inaugural address, on Jan. 21.
