St. Clair Shores Expands Payment Options

Credit cards can now be used to pay bills at City Hall, and payments can now be online at www.scsmi.net.

St. Clair Shores is now accepting credit cards at the cashier's window of City Hall.

The city is offering the service through Point and Pay, LLC. There is a 3 percent convenience fee, with a $1.50 minimum, charged to the cardholder. According to the city, St. Clair Shores does not receive the convenience fee or any credit card information from the transaction.

Those looking to pay with a credit card will be required to present a legal form of  identification, the city added.

Point and Pay will also be the service provider for online and telephone credit card payments for tax and utility bills. There is also a 3 percent convenience fee, $1.50 minimum, for these transactions.  

Online tax and water bill payments can also be made by electronic check, and this is provided at no cost for residents.

Online credit card and electronic check payments can be made by visiting the City of St. Clair Shores website at www.scsmi.net and clicking on Online Payments and Services. Telephone credit card payments can be made by calling Point and Pay at: 1-855-414-9009.
