St. Clair Shores Clerk Shares Primary Election Information

Residents can submit applications for the city's Aug. 6 primary election.

St. Clair Shores City Clerk Mary Kotowski has shared some important reminders about the upcoming primary election.

  • July 8 is the last day to register to vote for August 6 primary.
  • Residents may apply for an absentee ballot for the election at the county clerk's office by mail, fax or request an application by phone or email. Applications are also available for download. Residents must complete an application for every election for which they would like a ballot.
  • Absentee voter ballot applications can be returned in the white dropbox in front of city hall, by U.S. Mail or at the City Clerk’s counter.
  • Absentee ballots will be mailed around July 4.
  • If a resident does not receive their ballot, they contact the City Clerk's office.
