Road Projects St. Clair Shores Motorists Should Avoid

The Michigan Department of Transportation has scheduled road work on I-94 and I-696, which could affect St. Clair Shores drivers.

The Michigan Department of Transportation announced the following construction projects starting Friday, and ending Monday, weather permitting.

I-696:

The eastbound I-696 ramp to eastbound I-94 in Macomb County will be closed from 5 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday for reconstruction on I-94.

I-94:

Eastbound and westbound I-94 in Macomb County will be reduced to a single lane between 11 Mile Road and Masonic from 5 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday for reconstruction on I-94.

I-94:

Eastbound I-94 in Wayne County from Cadieux Road to 8 Mile Road, westbound I-94 from Chalmers to French Road, and westbound I-94 from 8 Mile Road to Moross Road, will have single-lane closures from 9 p.m. until 9 a.m. on Friday and Saturday for lighting and sign work.
