Navy Jets to Fly Over Shoreline

Navy F-18s will be participating in the Gold Cup races on the Detroit River will be flying out of Selfridge Air National Guard Base and along the waterfront.

There will be thunder on the water and in the skies this weekend as jets from the U.S. Navy Tactical Demonstration Team will be performing flyovers for the Detroit APBA Gold Cup Races.

The U.S. Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet jets will be staged at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, and will be flying at lower altitudes during the flyovers. This will result in heavier air traffic noise several times, according to base officials.

The jets will complete their mission on Sunday.
