Up to 1.5 inches of rain is forecast to fall through Saturday afternoon.

This rainfall, combined with the frozen ground and snow melt, will likely lead to flooding of small streams and creeks along with ponding in low and poor drainage areas, the weather service reported.

The flood watch is in effect until Saturday evening.
