Jim Jacobs to Deliver Macomb County Economic Forecast

Dr. Jim Jacobs, president Macomb Community College, will give his annual Economic Forecast for Macomb County Wednesday in Chesterfield Township.

Dr. Jim Jacobs will deliver his annual economic forecast for Macomb County Wednesday at Zuccaro Banquets and Catering in Chesterfield Township.

Jacobs, who is president of Macomb Community College, annually analyzes state and county trends, and forecasts what lies ahead for the county in 2013.

Last year, Jacobs stated the county would do better than the national economy in terms of growth and recovery.

His prediction could hold true, judging by the State of the County delivered by Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel in December.

He stated more than $200 million has been invested in Macomb County’s defense sector in the past year and some $2 billion in automotive.
