7:00 p.m.

Mayor Hison calls the meeting to order and announces that the Fire Fighters Local 1744 agreement will be considered after closed session.

7:05 p.m.

Mayor Hison presents a proclamation from the city to the Lakers and their coaches for their third regional hockey championship.

7:25 p.m.

Residents address council on agenda items. Most are asking council to consider review of lakefront fence ordinance.

7:36 p.m.

Council begins public hearing on Brownfield plan for former bowling alley on Harper, near 9 Mile.

Representatives from the property owner of the former bowling alley on Harper say the cost of asbestos abatement has been a road block to demolition of the building and prepare the land for redevelopment. Under the proposal before council, the city is not committing to any reimbursement from the Brownfield Authority for the demolition. That could come at a later date.

Representative of the bowling alley owner commits to secure demolition company within 60 days after request from Rubino.

Council approves adoption of Brownfield Plan with owners signing a contract within 60 days and demolition to come within 60 days afterwards.

8:06 p.m.

Now council begins review of lakefront fence ordinance. Council decides to have council members submit questions and concerns about the lakefront Fence ordinance to the city manager. A study session may be scheduled at a later date.

9:00 pm

During council comments, councilwoman Rusie announces that she establishes a website, www.scscouncilemails.com, with the contents of emails between council members Rusie, Rubino, Rubello and Walby, that was requested by the St. Clair Shores Police Officers Association. "I am not nervous, I am not afraid...I am putting them out for everyone (to see)," said Rusie. The site went live Monday night.

11:15 pm

Council returns to open session and votes to consider the fire fighters contract in two weeks. Meeting adjourned. Council now on closed session to discuss the fire fighters contract. Council now listening to audience participation.
