By listening to Fox news and the likes of Rush Limbaugh, a person has already become one of the herd.

I feel he will go down as one of the greatest leaders. He steered the United States through one of the greatest disaters. This financial crisis is world wide.

It's obvious that Bob Woodward is not a supporter and he wants to sell books! He knows they will sell the best at election time. Smart move on his part.
jan September 09, 2012 at 07:01 PM
actually, he has been a supporter and part of msm....but you guys always have a reason for anyone who speaks out against him. @dt, you are probably the one that thinks that...he is going down as the worst....after jimmy carter.

If he's selling a book bashing the president he's obviously changed his mind. Looks to me that he's selling out in order to cash in.

Nobody is going to tell me that a ribeye isn't the best cut of meat. All those flavors coming at you I mean come on! And frankly if you order a filet mignon you might as well get a burger.

DT... Obama a great leader??? Oh please!!! Definition of a leader is one who makes things happen. Outside of passing a national health care program which technically violates the constitution and at a bare minimum is unaffordable, Obama hasn't done Jack! The guy can't sell bananas to monkeys. In my opinion, he ranks well below Jimmy Carter as of now and will likely be judged as one of the most left wing presidents of the early 21st century when it is all said and done-- just a hunch!

Convertin' US to socialism?

Why are so many Americans politically "illiterate"... why are so many Americans not understanding the real meaning of our Consitution, why are so many Americans not understanding what Socialisme has done to Western Europe.... May be our educators and the school systems agenda fell short...? This is our country, our Consitution and the Government belongs to us, we don't belong to them... When are we going to wake up and institute some real "change"...I hope soon..

Oh I figured if my newsfeed is going to be inundated with inane blather I might as well interject something more interesting.

I'm neither a Dem or Republican since I can't believe the choices that they generate for the public to vote. With that, the US needs to put emphasis on large sector employers and companies based here in the US. Unfortunately through past administrations, from both parties, they have allowed too many companies and virtually industries to leave. No service oriented/focused government has ever succeeded in the world. You must control the means to produce or you are at the mercy of those who do. And I see that Rog L needs to keep current...the LOAN was paid off in April 2010. Cash and stock. This was something worked out by both parties, the Bush administration started the bailout process and the Obama administration continued. GM stock has suffered all because of the problems in Europe, simply search and you'll see that both GM and Ford lost money due to the economic crisis overseas. But again, this was something worked out as acceptable payment by the US gov't and your politicians...regardless of your party affiliation. I do agree that bonuses should be limited when a company isn't doing well...HOWEVER, DO YOUR HOMEWORK...GM had record profits in 2011. That is why the bonuses. You want to make the money that has not returned on the deal, maybe stop subsidizing nations that don't "like" America, but are quick to take handouts. And how about the middle east? People say that we went to secure oil...then why are prices so high? Hmm can you say special interest?
Gerry S September 10, 2012 at 03:47 AM
Well Frank, after reading your post I would have to agree that your educators really did fall short. As far as Socialisme as you call it goes The Washington Post did a survey recently on who are the happiest people in the world and it turns out that people in those countries dominate the list: http://www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/the-worlds-15-happiest-countries/2012/03/29/gIQA6ZIFkS_gallery.html#photo=1 Did you know that the constitution says that we have a right to pursue happiness?
Jewelz4USA September 10, 2012 at 03:56 AM
LOVE IT!!! Although, so sad but true...the mentality of the US Gov't.
Jewelz4USA September 10, 2012 at 04:13 AM
Maybe you can (1) make a real point; (2) maybe show me what group "cheers and praises killing unborn babies" and (3) why is it that people like you feel its necessary to throw your RELIGIOUS opinions into a valid question posed by the writer? The grown ups are talking I.c. so maybe you can refrain from trying to talk over others. But you want to speak of the Archbishop...he made a very intelligent decision to support both parties. The Church doesn't need to be alienating members over 1 issue that has shown not to be at the heart of turning around America. In fact, covering up child molestation by various clergy isn't very "Godly" either from what I would assume. And consider this...abortion IS LEGAL...regardless of your opinion. I know well educated people (unlike yourself) on both sides of the abortion issue and nobody that I can think of applauds the decision for someone to abort a birth. At the same time, how many children have you adopted? That seems to be the "answer" of many of those who are pro-life. While we're on that line of thought, I'm also assuming that you hold a very strong opinion on your gun rights. You don't want big gov't sticking it's nose into your "rights", but feel it is ok that they stick their nose into affairs when it doesn't affect you. Quite the hypocrite, don't you think?

DT : If General Motors is Alive---It must be a "Person"
PaulRevere September 10, 2012 at 06:29 AM
GM- Corporation IS ALIVE! It must be a "PERSON" Yep- Bankrupcty coming again--"DEAD" That make GM a "Person Corpse" Or will it Get into a "marriage"? Maybe (Merger?) What about a mixed Marriage? Maybe Amtrak marries GM. Or (Same-Auto-mariage)-Corporation marriage---Gm marries-the subsidiary VOLT! Wow! Is GM a Liberal? GM is still getting major subsidy from Obama. 1) It does not have to pay taxes on it's profits for 10 years. 2) Every Volt sold gets GM a $9,000 checks from the Govt. 3) GM pays No interest on the loans. 4) GM will never pay back about $25Billion received to keep jobs of the highest paid workers in America. AND BIDEN DECLARES GM IS ALIVE. It will be history in 7 years. Without the subsidies, GM would be reporting Losses. Wake up OHIO and Michigan, It's your Governor's who are turning your state around. Not Government-Motors.

Go! Jan & Sarah: So much Truth in what you say. I'll soon become history again after this election. But, You guys are real Patriots. Keep speading the truth. Maybe just one Major media outlet will come to tell all the people that this country is not doing that well. The question should be "Is the Country better off than 4 years ago". Why, because Public Service employees are doing just fine.
dk September 10, 2012 at 10:23 AM
Yeah, people in Europe really have it bad. Six weeks vacation, universal health care, pensions, universities free to students, art, culture, and so few people in jail or invading other countries. I much prefer capitalism run amok. I love it when corporations rig the market, privatize the profits, and social their losses. It brings back such fond memories of Musolini and his Fascist job creators. Fascism: a radical and authoritarian nationalist political ideology that seeks to organize a nation according to corporatist perspectives, values, and systems, including the political system and the economy.)

correction - and socialize their losses
FHVoice September 10, 2012 at 11:21 AM
Sarah, the PPACA has been declared CONSTITUTIONAL. While the real world is anathema to you, recognize that your assertion "passing a national health care program which technically violates the constitution" is wrong, misleading, and a lie. Can we stop with the lying about the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, a.k.a., Obamacare? It is constitutional. Geting such a landmark act passed and declared constitutional is indeed a mark of a leader. Hum. Your remark about who couldn't sell what to whom is inspirational: given your own record of lies and failure to convince, you couldn't sell steak to jackals.
FHVoice September 10, 2012 at 11:36 AM
... and, Mike, for WJR to give Rushbo 15 hours per week to spread his racist rants is a disservice to this community.
FHVoice September 10, 2012 at 11:48 AM
Paul Revere was a patriot. PaulRevere is not. The real Paul Revere did not waste time exalting the virtues of the East India Tea Company - a corporation - over the rights of human beings. In fact, he played a significant role in the defense of this country, rejecting rule by plutocrats of the day, and would never have rooted for our country to fail to advance the interests of partisan political hacks. The writer here using Paul Revere's name in vain. Answering his missives (such as his regurgitating the same stuff on Sep. 8 & Sep. 10 for example) is like playing whack-a-mole. The only real answer for this kind of troll is to make sure his posts don't appear on the front page.
