The first above ground signs of the new 40th District Court can be seen on the northwest corner of 11 Mile and Jefferson.
Crews have started work on the walls of the $3.5 million, 15,500-square-foot facility. The new building is being built on the site of the former court building.
Court operations moved to the former Our Lady of Hope School on Jefferson until the new building is completed later this year.
