Two Men Charged With Armed Robbery in St. Clair Shores

The suspects are accused of pulling a gun on a resident as she left McDonald's Wednesday morning.

Two men were arraigned Thursday in on armed robbery charges stemming from a holdup in St. Clair Shores, police said.

Carl Danielson, 32 of Detroit, and Neil Terry, 26 of Clinton Township, face up to life imprisonment if convicted of the charges. They were each lodged in Macomb County Jail in lieu of $250,000 cash/surety bonds, Detective Sgt. David Centala told Patch.

The men were stopped by St. Clair Shores police around 6 a.m. Wednesday in the Harper and 13 Mile Road area. Police were responding to a report from a 45-year-old St. Clair Shores woman that she had been robbed at gunpoint outside the McDonald's at 31255 Harper moments before, Centala said.

The suspects, armed with a small black handgun, approached the woman outside the fast-food restaurant and demanded her purse. They fled on foot after she handed it over, he said.

Police stopped the men, who were inside a Volvo by then, and placed them under arrest.

A preliminary exam for both of them has been set for 9 a.m. April 13 in the district court.
