St. Clair Shores Police Sergeant To Become Chief in Pennsylvania

After nearly a quarter century with the St. Clair Shores Police Department, Jason Brown will leave the department to become the new police chief in Pennsylvania.

St. Clair Shores police sergeant Jason Brown has been named police chief in the Borough of Brookville in Pennsylvania, according to a story in the Jeffersonian Democrat.

Brown has worked nearly 25 years with the department, and currently serves as a patrol supervisor, the article stated. He also served as a senior detective in the criminal investigations division, with a specialty in fire investigation.

According to a story in the Courier Express, Brown is expected to start in the rural Pennsylvania community on Jan. 27.

He told the website that it was time for a change and he wanted to continue to serve.

“Metropolitan crime has changed that," he told the website. "It is more reactionary and increasingly violent. I still like the community service aspect and Brookville will give me the opportunity to do that."
