St. Clair Shores Police Seek Witnesses in Hit-and-Run Accident

Police are seeking witnesses to a hit-and-run accident on Harper at Masonic early June 23.

St. Clair Shores Police are seeking witnesses of a car-motorcycle accident early Sunday morning on Harper.

Police report a man and a woman were driving northbound on Harper and stopped in the center turn lane about 12:40 a.m. Sunday, June 23, to turn westbound on Masonic. 

As they waited to turn, a Pontiac Grand Am traveling northbound in the left lane sideswiped the motorcycle with the left side of the car, according to St. Clair Shores Police Lt. Steven Lambert. Witnesses reported the driver, a male wearing hospital scrubs, got out of the car and checked on the driver. After he saw he was injured, he got back into the car and drove north.

The male driver of the motorcycle driver suffered a "severe" cut to his calf, and his female passenger also suffered an injury. 

Witnesses reported damage to the left rear bumper, with it possibility of it hanging down, as a result of the crash.
