St. Clair Shores Police Investigate Armed Robberies

St. Clair Shores police are investigating two separate armed robberies this week.

Check 'N Go

St. Clair Shores police report a man, described as 19-years-old, 5-feet 11-inches tall, 160 pounds, and wearing dark colored clothes entered the Check 'N Go on Harper at about 10:52 a.m. Oct. 29. He asked to cash a check, but after the employee declined, he pulled a semi-automatic handgun and pointed it at her as he ran around the counter toward her. He then held the gun against her temple while demanding money. He continued to push the gun against her head as he demanded her to access the safe. After he was unsuccessful, he threatened the employee as he fled the business and into a neighborhood. He fled in a medium sized red sedan. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call police at (586) 445-5300.

Subway Restaurant

Police are investigating a second, unrelated armed robbery this week. About 8:19 p.m. Oct. 31 a 20-year-old man, about 5-feet 9-inches tall, about 140 pounds, entered the Subway Restaurant on Harper. The man walked into the restaurant and ordered a cookie. When the register opened, he put his hand in hoodie and pointed what appeared to be a gun and demanded money. The suspect took the money from the drawer and fled the scene on foot.
