St. Clair Shores Firefighters Protect, Serve and Bowl for Charities

Four local charities will receive $12,000 raised during the St. Clair Shores Firefighters annual bowling tournament.

Members of the St. Clair Shores Firefighters Union IAFF Local 1744, and the community, held a bowling tournament this spring at Shore Lanes to raise funds for local charities.

Following a tally of funds raised during the tournament, raffles and other fundraisers held during the event, four local charities will be receiving a portion of the $12,000 raised.

According to Councilman Ron Frederick, who made an announcement at a recent City Council meeting, the following charities will receive:

  • $1,000 for the Macomb Literacy Partners
  • $2,000 for the St. Clair Shores Parks and Recreation Special Needs program.
  • $2,000 for the Senior Activities Center lunch program
  • $7,000 for the Great Lakes Burn Camp
