St. Clair Shores Police have arrested two men who allegedly terrorized employees and customers at hair salons in Metro Detroit.

Investigators followed a number of leads following the Aug. 16 —and salons in Oak Park and Warren—that led to the arrest of Curtis Felton, 29, of Belleville, and Larry Roosevelt, 34, of Detroit.

"Cooperation between all these departments made this happen," said St. Clair Shores Police Detective David Scheuer.

Police began compiling information on the case shortly after the incident as patrol officers worked with detectives in St. Clair Shores to link the robbery with a similar one in Warren.

Working with the officers in Warren, detectives were able to obtain a description of the vehicle the men allegedly used in the robbery and link the suspects to an Oak Park robbery.

A video was released from the Oak Park robbery, which led to an anonymous tip called into St. Clair Shores which led to the arrest in August of Felton, and the  arrest Tuesday of Roosevelt by the U.S. Marshals and Michigan State Police Dangerous Fugitive Apprehension Team.

Felton is being held in the Macomb County Jail on $250,000 bond.

40th District Court Judge Mark Fratarcangeli arraigned Roosevelt on Wednesday and set bond at $1 million. He is also on parole for armed robbery through the Michigan Department of Corrections.

Both men are charged with armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and felony firearm. If convicted, both could face life in prison.

The men are alleged to have held up the Exodus Salon during a multi-city crime spree and took money from the customers and employees before moving them into a backroom and fleeing from the business.

Felton and Roosevelt have additional warrants out of Warren and Oak Park.
