SERESA Dispatchers Honored For Being the Best in the State

Members of the South East Regional Emergency Services Authority were recently honored at state-wide banquet.

Personnel from the South East Regional Emergency Services Authority were recently recognized at the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (APCO) annual awards banquet.

Dispatcher James Brinich received the Dispatcher of the Year Award for the State of Michigan from the association. Brinich was an original member of  SERESA consolidation of the dispatch centers for St. Calir Shores, Roseville and Eastpointe which took place in December 2010. He previously was a dispatcher for St. Clair Shores Police Department. He was described in his award as a “consummate Professional,” according to a release.

The entire SERESA team received the TEAM of the Year award for the State of Michigan for assisting the Eastpointe Police Department in locating the victim of an abduction. The victim had dialed 911 ,and without speaking to the dispatchers, the SERESA team was able to locate her and lead police to her, according to a release.
