Schools Out, But Some Kids are Still Trying to Break-In

The following information is gathered from the St. Clair Shores Police Department. Arrests do not indicate conviction.

School break-in

St. Clair Shores responded to a pair of reported break-ins at local schools. Police were called early June 18 to South Lake Middle School and arrested two men, a 17- and 18-year-old both from St. Clair Shores, for entering the school without permission. The men told police “they wanted to look at some of their old rooms” at the school. There was no damage inside the building.

Officers also responded early June 17 to an alarm at Lakeview High School. When officers arrived, they saw three men running on the roof of the school. With the help of the St. Clair Shores Fire Department, officers were able to find the men on the roof, a 19-year-old from Eastpointe and two 17-year-olds from St. Clair Shores, who were arrested for entering a building without permission.
