Preliminary Exam for Child Porn Suspect Rescheduled

A preliminary exam in federal court for a St. Clair Shores man charged with possessing more than 100 child pornography photos has been rescheduled for a third time.

The preliminary exam for a 27-year-old St. Clair Shores  has been rescheduled for a third time as government lawyers and his defense attorney continue plea negotiations.

Shawn Reginaldo, who is alleged to have possessed more than 100 child pornography photos in addition to abusive and graphic stories, was to face a federal judge Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Detroit.

According to court documents, the government informed defense attorney Stephen Rabaut that a forensic examination of his client's computer would be completed by mid-July and would be "exceedingly relevant to plea negotiations."

Reginaldo is being held without bond in the Wayne County Jail.
