Police Promote Officers to the Rank of Lieutenant

Police officers, fire fighters, elected officials and retired members of the police department gathered Wednesday in St. Clair Shores City Hall for a ceremony to promote two officers to the rank of Lieutenant.

St. Clair Shores swore in two new police lieutenants Wednesday in a ceremony in before their family, members of the police and fire departments, elected officials including Mayor Kip Walby, Councilman Anthony Tiseo and County Executive Mark Hackel, and retired police chiefs.

The promotion of David Chavis and Anthony Pietrzak to the rank of lieutenant came after City Council approved an for members of the St. Clair Shores Command Officers Association.

While celebrating the promotion of the new lieutenants, members of the department recogonized the contributions of Lt. George Sobah, Lt. David Pietrzak, Sgt. Robert Pasternak and Sgt. Mark Kolodziejski, who retired Friday.
