Senior Who Wandered From Her Home Located

An 83-year-old St. Clair Shores woman was found Thursday night after she wandered from her home on Maxine St.

Family members, St. Clair Shores police and others searched for the elderly woman who was suffering from dementia. She was found a few miles from her home, near Lake Shore and Jefferson, hours after she was reported missing.

In addition to the officers and family who searched for the missing woman, police utilized an automated service provided by A Child is Missing, which called  hundreds of homes in the area with a description of the resident, to assist in the search.
