Police Investigate Reported Stolen Cars, Home Invasions

The following information was supplied by the St. Clair Shores police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Home invasion

Police investigated a report Jan. 10 of a home invasion in the 34000 block of Jefferson. Investigators saw footprints leading up to a side door and found it open. Additionally, the front door was kicked in. When officers entered the home, they found open drawers and cabinets in the bedroom. Additionally, a kitchen knife was found struck through a pillow. In the garage, the steering column of a Buick Century was broken. The homeowners are working to determine if was taken from the home.

Police are investigating reports of stolen Jeep Cherokee Sport on Jan. 15 from the 22600 block of Martin and Jeep Cherokee Jan. 13 from the 22000 block of Ridgeway.

A homeowner in the 22500 block of 12 Mile reported Jan. 10 that the side door of his home was kicked in and a safe was stolen form the home.
