St. Clair Shores Police have released the names of two people who were found dead in the 28000 block of Jane Street.
Police report that Rebecca Brown, 37, of St. Clair Shores, and David Casares, 26, of Grosse Pointe Park, were found dead in the home on Jan. 15.
Brown, was the owner Rebecca Brown Farmer's Insurance Agency and was actively involved in the Kiwanis Club of Lac Ste. Claire, HABA and the Optimist Club of St. Clair Shores.
Casares, a U.S. Navy veteran, was a sales manager for Auto Lab in St. Clair Shores, according to a death notice.
Police were called to Brown's home for a welfare check, and when officers arrived, saw Brown and Casares on the living room floor. Paramedics were called, and confirmed the pair were deceased.
"There was no sign of foul play, no forced entry and carbon monoxide was ruled out," said St. Clair Shores Police Lt. David Centala.
He added the pair are acquaintances, and investigators are continuing their investigation into the deaths.
The Macomb County Medical Examiner's office said the cause of death is pending the results of toxicology reports, which could be returned within 6-8 weeks.
