Police Blotter: St. Clair Shores Man Arrested for Attempted Break-in

The following information is gathered from the St. Clair Shores Police Department. Arrests do not indicate conviction.

A St. Clair Shores man was arrested Oct. 10 after attempting to break into a building in the 21900 block of Harper.

St. Clair Shores police responded after receiving a report of someone trying to break into a building. After a search of the area, police located Craig Klein nearby, along with a machete.

Klein was charged with breaking and entering, attempted breaking and entering and possession of burglars tool. Police believe he was also involved with another robbery Oct. 2 in the same area.

He is free on $5,000, or 10 percent bond, and must wear a GPS tether. He will return to 40th District Court Oct. 19 for a pre-exam conference.
