A 45-year-old resident reported Feb. 28 that she had spoken with a neighbor in the 22500 block of Masonic who was being loud in the hallway of their apartment complex. She asked the neighbor to be quiet because her husband was trying to sleep. The neighbor left the building and struck the car several times with a bag of pop bottles. There was no damage to the car.
- Police are investigating a home invasion in the 19800 block of Edmunton. The suspect is believed to have entered the house through a basement window and stole a laptop computer and some change.
- Owners of a home in the 19700 block of Parkside reported on Feb. 27 that someone smashed out a widow and entered their home. The suspect took loose change and empty cans.
- A suspect attempted to break into a home Feb. 27 on the 30700 block of Champine. The door was pried open and documents inside the home were disturbed.
- A homeowner in the 20000 block of Mauer reported Feb. 25 that someone broke into his home and stole laptop computers, money and a school backpack.
Theft from car
A 31-year-old resident reported Feb. 25 someone had broken into his car in the parking lot of Bally Total Fitness. As he and his girlfriend returned to his car, they found someone had stolen her purse, which included her wallet.
A resident in the 20000 block of Edmunton reported Feb. 25 that someone tried to break in to his home. A window was open, but there was no sign of anything missing.
Police are investigating a theft of nearly 200 feet of copper pipe Feb. 28 from a vacant home in the 21600 block of Lange.
A Chrysler Sebring was stolen Feb. 28 from the parking lot in the 24500 block of Little Mack.
