Police Blotter: Police Investigate Home Invasion

The following information was supplied by the St. Clair Shores Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Home invasion

A 48-year-old resident called St. Clair Shores police Jan. 16 after a black, mid-size car with Illinois license plate pulled into the driveway of a home on the 20800 block of Crowley and two men forced their way into the home. The homeowner screamed, and the suspects fled. The vehicle was last seen headed toward Mack.

Snowblower stolen

A 78-year-old resident of the 24900 block of Junior reported on Jan. 17 that his snowblower was stolen.

Jewelry stolen

Police are investigating the theft of jewelry from a home in the 29800 Elmgrove. The homeowner reported that a basement window was smashed out and the backdoor of the home was open. A man in his 30s, wearing a hooded jacket, was seen near the house and may have been picked up by a General Motors vehicle.

Television stolen

A 68-year-old resident of the 20900 block of Benjamin reported on Jan. 17 that her flat screen television was stolen.

Copper pipes stolen

Copper pipes were reported stolen Jan. 11 from a vacant home in the 22400 block of Downing.

Lures stolen

The owner of the BP gas station on Jefferson reported two incidents of fishing lures that were stolen from the store. Nearly 150 lures were taken in the two incidents, according to the owner. There were no descriptions of the person, or persons, who took the lures.

Bomb threat

Police were called to the CVS on Greater Mack on Jan. 14 after an employee found a note with a bomb threat at the store. After a search of the interior and exterior of the building, nothing suspicious was found.

Attempted theft from Kmart

A 42-year-old Detroit resident was arrested Jan. 15 after he allegedly tried to steal a DVD player, batteries and a battery charger from . Richard Nabors is alleged to have taken the items into the restroom and hid them in his clothes. He was arrested after walking out of the store without paying for the items. He was charged with retail fraud and is being held in the Macomb County Jail on $5,000 bond.
