Police Blotter: Police Investigate Bar Assault and Road Rage Incident

The following information was supplied by the St. Clair Shores police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Jewelry theft

A 40-year-old homeowner in the 23500 block of Recreation called St. Clair Shores police on the afternoon of Nov. 28 to report two televisions, a Wii, a laptop and a diamond ring was stolen from the house. It appeared the alleged thief entered the house by breaking in through the front door.

An employee of Miller Marina reported that two stern drives were stolen Nov. 28 off boats in storage.

Plow theft

A 56-year-old resident on the 21800 block of Statler reported Nov. 28 that a snow plow was stolen off his pickup truck during the night.

Road rage incident 

A 38-year-old Roseville resident reported that after dropping his child off at Violet Elementary School on Nov. 22 a vehicle drove behind him and started beeping his horn. The Roseville resident slowed down and pulled close to the curb so the suspect could pass. As he pulled over, the driver started screaming obscenities. Both drivers pulled into a parking lot at Harper and Francis, where the suspect got out and threw a rock at the Roseville resident's vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene.

Home invasion

A 42-year-old resident called police Nov. 23 after a unkown man broke into his home on the 19800 block of Parkside. The homeowner was in the basement of his house when he heard noise upstairs. He climbed the stairs and saw a man jumping off his roof and fleeing from his home. The suspect was a male, approximately 20-years-old, 5-feet 8-inches tall, and was wearing a black hoody and black blue jeans.

Bar assault

Police were called to  in the early morning hours of Nov. 26 for a report of an assault. A 25-year-old resident and his 24-year-old female friend got into an argument with two males who were urinating on the side of the building. The argument turned violent when one of the males threw a rock at the man and hit him in the head. Both men fled the scene. 

Thefts on Maxine

Police are investigating a pair of thefts Nov. 27 on Maxine. A 32-year-old resident in the 19900 block of Maxine reported that tools including a chainsaw, cordless drill, air compressor and hand tools were stolen from his garage. A resident on the 19700 of Maxine reported that four factory rims and tires were stolen from his car.
