Police Blotter: Graffiti and CD Thefts

The following information is gathered from the St. Clair Shores Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Bank defaced

Employees of contacted police on the morning of Sept. 19 after the building was defaced with black spray paint on the front window. The graffiti was dollar sign in a circle and an initial "A."

An 18-year-old Eastpointe resident is free on personal bond on retail fraud charges after allegedly attempting to steal CDs on Sept. 21 from . The teen was arrested after she allegeldy took CDs and a disc holder into the store bathroom. In the bathroom, she is alleged to have removed the discs from the containers and placed them in the holder.

An 80-year-old Grosse Pointe Woods resident contacted police on Sept. 21 after several items were stolen from his car at the . Items that were taken include hearing aids, clothes and medication.

Scent of theft

Police are investigating the theft of more than $100 of perfume Sept. 22 from the at 31240 Harper. A male in his late 40s, about 5 feet 2 inches tall, about 110 pounds and wearing a short blue coat and black pants, allegedly stole five bottles of women's perfume and fled in a blue Volkswagen Bug.

Gas station defaced

Employees of the gas station at 32309 Jefferson called police on Sept. 22 after discovering graffiti on the windows. Overnight someone spray-painted in red "Feed Our Greed,""Destroy the Planet One Gallon at a Time" and a smiley face.
