Police Blotter: Spitting Assault

The following information was supplied by the St. Clair Shores Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Verbal and spitting assault

A 59-year old resident reported to St. Clair Shores police Feb. 15 that as she drove by one of her rental properties in the 28900 block of Little Mack she saw a vehicle drive on the lawn. As she spoke with the driver, another male exited the house and threatened her and began spitting at her. As she drove from the house, the male continued to spit at her car.

Police are investigating the theft of copper pipes stolen Feb. 9 from a vacant home in the 19500 block of Chalon.

ATM card stolen

A 43-year-old Kimball man reported Feb. 15 unauthorized ATM withdrawls. The man believes his co-worker, a 30-year-old St. Clair Shores man, may have taken his wallet after their shift on a garbage truck. The Shores man is believed to have taken the wallet while the Kimball man shopped in a party store.

Laptops stolen

A 58-year-old resident of the 23800 block of Beverly reported Feb. 15 that two laptops were stolen. Investigators believe a door was pried open to enter the house. A 17-year-old resident, wearing a white hoodie, jeans and backpack, was seen in the area and may have been involved in the theft.

Catalytic converter stolen

A 22-year-old resident reported Feb. 9 that someone stole the catalytic converter from her car parked in the 22800 block of Nine Mile Road.

Wallet stolen

A 42-year-old Grosse Pointe Woods woman reported Feb. 10 that someone took the wallet from her purse as she shopped at the Kroger on Nine Mile. The shopper said she left her purse unattended and discovered her wallet containing credit cards, park pass and library card was missing.

Metal fittings stolen

An employee of Ace Hardware reported Feb. 10 that $186 in copper and brass fittings were missing from the store.

Electronics stolen

Residents in the 19500 block of Parkside reported Feb. 12 that someone broke into their home and stole electronics and coins from their home.

Purse stolen

A 49-year-old resident reported Feb. 12 that her purse was stolen from the Copper Penny. The resident is an employee at the restaurant and left her purse in a booth. After completing her shift, she realized her purse containing cash, credit cards and drivers license, was gone.

Home invasion

A homeowner in the 20000 block of Edmunton reported Feb. 12 that someone broke into their home and stole electronics, money and jewelry.

Super Bowl theft

A 56-year-old resident in the 22900 block of Colony reported to police her wedding ring was stolen during a Super Bowl party. The resident has about 20 people over to her house for the party and took off her ring while mixing a salad. She later noticed it was missing.
