Police Blotter: Fast Food Fight, Indecent Exposure

The following information was supplied by the St. Clair Shores police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Fast food fight

Police were called Jan. 5 to the on 9 Mile Road for a fight between employees. The employees were arguing behind the counter of the restaurant and it escalated when a 20-year-old employee grabbed at a 23-year-old employee. The 20-year-old was removed from the restaurant and was terminated. Neither the 23-year-old employee nor restaurant managers wanted to press charges.

Indecent exposure

Police are investigating a report that of a man exposed himself to a 69-year-old resident in the 100 block of Windwood Pt. The resident reported that she was in her kitchen and heard tapping on her window. When she looked out the window, the man exposed himself to the woman and fled.

Counterfeit checks

Police are investigating a report of counterfeit checks passed Jan. 6 at Lakeview Liquor. Two men presented payroll checks to be cashed. When the checks were deposited in the store's bank, the bank informed the owner the checks were counterfeit.

Stolen items

Police are investigating an alleged theft of items from a home in the 24600 block of Culver. While on patrol, an officer stopped a Dodge Neon with a wrong plate. Upon further investigation, the officer found an antique camera, chainsaw and mini-bike in the car. Police later learned the the items may have been stolen and are investigating.

Mail theft

Police are investigating a report that a male in his 20s was allegedly trying to take the mail from a home in the 28600 block of Beste. After the homeowner confronted him, he pulled the mail out of his back pocket and fled on a bicycle.

Televisions stolen

A 77-year-old resident reported Jan. 9 that her television and cash was missing from her home in the 20200 block of Avalon. The homeowner said she went for a walk and returned home to find the items missing. On Jan. 10, a 77-year-old resident in the 21200 block of Raymond reported that the door of the home was kicked in and the television was missing.
