Police Blotter: Catalytic Converters Stolen, Attempted Home Invasions

Catalytic converters stolen

Police are investigating the theft of a catalytic converter March 14 from a Ford Escape in the 24500 block of Manhattan. A catalytic converter was also reprted stolen March 15 from another Ford Escape in the 400 block of Sunset Lane.

A catalytic converter was also reported stolen March 15 from an Oldsmobile in the 20200 block of 9 Mile Road.

A resident also reported on March 15 that a catalytic converter was stolen from her Chevrolet Cavalier while she was shopping at the on Harper near 13 Mile Road.

An employee of the dealership reported that a catalytic converter was stolen March 15 from his vehicle parked at the back of the dealership.

Home invasion

An 80-year-old resident in the 24600 block of Cubberness called police March 14 after he found that someone entered his home, threw items on the floor and took a cell phone, jewelry and cash.

Car electronics taken

A window was broken out of a car March 14 in the parking lot of and the suspect took dashboard electronics from the vehicle. 

Shelves stolen

The owner ofcalled police on March 15 to report someone had stolen four 8-foot steel shelves from the rear of the building.

Attempted home invasions

A 49-year-old homeowner in the 22400 block of Raymond reported March 15 that a male in his early 20s attempted to enter his home. The homeowner heard a knock on the door and went to answer it. The suspect, who was wearing a gray hoody and dark pants, tried to open the door and yelled at homeowner before fleeing. He was last seen running toward Greater Mack.

A 31-year-old resident reported March 15 that someone attempted to enter her house in the 24600 block of Cubberness through a back window. Entry was not gained, and no damage was done.
