Police Blotter: Car Theft and Fraudulent Prescriptions
The following information was supplied by the St. Clair Shores police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
Alleged vending machine break-in
St. Clair Shores police are investigating an attempted break-in of vending machines on Dec. 12 at 29108 Harper. Officers patrolling in the area saw two men walking near the machines, and when they approached, the men fled. Police were able to stop one of the men, but were unable to locate the second suspect. Officers searching the area found possible tools used in the burglary. The incident is under investigation.
Stolen vehicles

A 47-year-old resident reported that her 2008 Dodge Avenger was stolen Dec. 10 from in front of her daughter’s home in the 19800 block of Parkside.
Police are also investigating a report of a Chevrolet Cobalt stolen Dec. 6 from 31100 Harper.

False prescriptions
Police are investigating a 52–year–old Clinton Township resident who is alleged to have attempted to pass a fraudulent prescriptions on Nov. 30 at Kmart.
Officers are also investigating a 32-year-old Detroit resident who allegedly tried to pass a fraudulent prescription Dec. 11 at 21211 Harper.
