Police Blotter: Officers Investigate Blow Dart Incidents, Attempted Break-In

Blow dart incidents

Police are investigating a pair of blow dart incidents. On Jan. 2, a 33-year-old resident of the 32500 block of Birkshire reported a blow dart shot into the tire of his work van. A 19-year-old Detroit woman also reported on Dec. 29 that she was struck by a blow dart while standing in the driveway of her friend's house in the 22400 block of 13 Mile.

Attempted break in

Police were called to the 22400 block of Rosedale for a report of an attempted break-in Jan 2. A neighbor reported the window was busted out, and after a search of the home, officers determined nothing was missing from the house. A 40-year-old male, 6 feet tall, 180 pounds and wearing a tan hoodie, may be a suspect.

Grafitti discovered

A 45-year-old resident discovered writing spray-painted on a wooden privacy fence Jan. 2 on the 22600 block of Dorion.

Bar fight

Police were called early Jan. 3 to Waves after a fight. A 24-year-old Eastpointe resident reported she was in a fight with another girl. The unknown girl threw a shot glass at her head. The Eastpointe woman declined to press charges.
