Man Dies After Stepping Into I-94 Traffic in St. Clair Shores
Police told The Macomb Daily the man appears to have deliberately been trying to take his life.
A New Haven man allegedly committed suicide Monday night by walking onto I-94 and standing in front of an oncoming semi truck, The Macomb Daily reports.
Around 7:09 p.m., the man, believed to be in his 30s, pulled his car over on the side of the freeway by the Roseville and St. Clair Shores border, got out and stood in the far right light as the truck approached, according to the newspaper.
After talking to witnesses, police told the newspaper that the act appears deliberate. The truck driver was released at the scene.
