In Photos: Firefighters, Community Bowl for Charity

The St. Clair Shores Firefighters traded knocking down fires for knocking down pins Saturday for local charities.

St. Clair Shores Firefighters were joined by firefighters from other departments, the community and members of City Council Saturday for their tournament at .

Two flights of bowlers were scheduled to bowl and raise money for the St. Clair Shores Special Needs Summer Playground Program, the Macomb Literacy Partners, and the Great Lakes Burn Camp.

"It's a team effort," said St. Clair Shores Firefighter Eric Retzbach, who is chairman for the event.

As of early Saturday, nearly $15,000 was raised for the three charities. The event is scheduled to run until 4 p.m.

In addition to bowling, there are a number of raffles and silent auctions for those who are not bowling.
