Home Invasion Suspects Arrested

Police continue searching for the third suspect in an alleged daytime robbery.

St. Clair Shores police are searching for a third individual who is alleged to have been involved in the robbery of a home Friday in the 21000 block of Maxine.

The three men are alleged to have driven to the house and while Anthony Hawkins, 18, of St. Clair Shores, kept one of the residents of the home busy, a second person allegedly stole four guitars, a laptop and an iPod.

A third man, Anthony Hervey, 18, of Eastpointe, waited in the getaway vehicle for the two men, according to St. Clair Shores Police Detective Margaret Eidt.

The men are alleged to have pawned two of the guitars. A witness was able to help provide information to police that allowed the police to locate and arrest Hawkins and Hervey.

Hawkins and Hervey were arraigned Monday in 40th District Court by Magistrate Mark Metry on home invasion and conspiracy to commit home invasion. Hawkins is being held in the Macomb County Jail on $10,000 or 10 percent bond. Hervey is free on a $5,000, or 10 percent bond.

Both men are due back in 40th District Court on June 21.
