DEA Raids House on Lange Street

Residents surprised as agents break down door of home about 8 a.m. Thursday. Vehicle is towed; no word yet on arrests.

Residents on Lange Street woke this morning to the sight of officers breaking down the door of a two-story, waterfront home.

Neighbors of the home in the 22500 block of Lange said officers arrived about 8 a.m. and broke down the front door with a battering ram-like device.

Rich Isaacson, spokesman for the Drug Enforcement Agency, confirmed agents were on Lange Thursday morning executing a federal search warrant. He would not release any further information.

About an hour after officers first arrived, a silver Infinity was being towed away by Nationwide Towing.

The early morning activity surprised Bill Soper, who had just returned home from dropping his children off at school.

"I was pouring a cup of coffee and saw all this action over there," said Soper, who lives across the street from the home that was raided. "I didn't know what was going on."
