Court Brief: Teen Drunken Driver Case Rescheduled

The preliminary exam for a teen accused of drunken driving has been rescheduled for St. Clair Shores 40th District Court. Also, the last man involved in a series of break-ins in the south end of the city has been sentenced.

Drunken driving preliminary exam rescheduled

The preliminary exam for an 18-year-old St. Clair Shores who was allegedly driving drunk when he lost control of his vehicle and drove through a fence has been rescheduled.

Dillon Marble will be in 40th District Court on July 18 for a preliminary exam for allegedly driving drunk, leaving the scene of an accident and possessing drug paraphernalia.

According to St. Clair Shores Police, Marble lost control of his vehicle about 4:15 a.m. June 11, and drove through a wooden fence of a home at Helen and Sunnyside. After unsuccessfully trying to back out of the yard, he fled the scene, but was located by St. Clair Shores police. He reportedly had a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit. He is free on $750 bond.

Gantay Reynolds, 19, has been sentenced by Macomb Circuit Court Judge James Biernat Jr. to up to three years of Holmes Youthful Training Act prison on charges of receiving and concealing stolen property and concealed weapon for his role in a number of hin the southern end of St. Clair Shores earlier this year. 

Robert Morey, 48, of St. Clair Shores, , has been sentenced to up to 5 years in prison by Macomb Circuit Court Judge David Viviano on charges of home invasion, attempted home invasion and receiving and concealing stolen property. 

Cordney Stewart, 22, of St. Clair Shores, who was also arrested in connection with the break-ins but was was found incompetent to stand trial and will be sent to a state facility for treatment.
