Comptency Exam for Murder Suspect Adjourned

A competency exam for a man charged in a 2012 fatal shooting in St. Clair Shores was adjourned Friday.

A competency exam Friday in 40th District Court for Viktor Shaholli, who was charged in the , was adjourned. 

Shaholli, a native of Albania who holds a green card, is charged with first-degree murder and felony firearm charges for the Nov. 20, 2012, fatal shooting of Dashamir Matjani on Recreation Street. His attorney, Timothy Barkovic, requested the adjournment to allow Shaholli to have an MRI.

A new date has not been set.
