Bashara will be arraigned in Wayne County Circuit Court on Sept. 20, according to a report by The Detroit Free Press.

36th District Court Judge Kenneth King bound him over after hearing five days of testimony from 30 witnesses, according to clickondetroit.com. Testimony included lurid details of his alternative sex life. The exam was twice delayed due to a prisoner stabbing a deputy at the courthouse and a power outage.

He is charged with:

  • first degree murder
  • conspiracy to commit first degree murder
  • solicitation to commit murder
  • suborning of perjury during a capital trial
  • witness intimidation
  • obstruction of justice
Bashara is currently serving a prison sentence on a second, related case involving his former handyman, Joe Gentz, whom he tried to have killed while in jail to prevent him from testifying. He will reportedly be returned to prison, according to a report on WDIV-TV.
