Blaze Damages Chicken Shack

The Chicken Shack restaurant in St. Clair Shores is closed due to a small fire this weekend.

An early morning fire Saturday damaged the Chicken Shack restaurant on Harper.

Fire officials report that a police officer on patrol Saturday morning noticed smoke about 5:30 a.m. at Chicken Shack. Fire fighters responded, and extinguished the blaze.

The blazed is believed to have started in the kitchen area, but the cause is under investigation

According to a sign on the door, the restaurant will be closed temporarily. Customers can visit a mobile Chicken Shack restaurant in the lot, or the Grosse Pointe Woods location on Mack.
